Robert Aprill

Robert Aprill is a Partner at Physician Growth Partners (PGP), where he advises healthcare business owners, entrepreneurs, and management teams on mergers and acquisitions, private equity partnerships, recapitalizations, and strategic transactions. Throughout his career, Robert has served as a trusted advisor to healthcare leaders navigating complex transaction structures, representing hundreds of shareholders across a broad range of healthcare services sectors.

Robert works closely with clients to evaluate strategic alternatives, identify high-quality financial and strategic partners, and navigate every stage of the transaction process. His approach extends beyond maximizing valuation, with a focus on finding partners that align with each client’s long-term objectives, culture, employees, and patients. He leverages his transaction experience and extensive relationships across the healthcare ecosystem to help clients achieve successful outcomes and position their businesses for continued growth.

As a senior leader at PGP, Robert also contributes to the firm’s broader strategic direction and healthcare services coverage. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on healthcare M&A, private equity, transaction strategy, and evolving industry trends. Robert has appeared on podcasts including Advanced Healthcare Innovations, Fixing Healthcare From The Trenches, and Bright Minds in Healthcare Delivery, and his insights have been featured in publications including Slate, Becker’s Healthcare, and Bloomberg.

Prior to joining PGP, Robert worked at Provident Healthcare Partners. He joined PGP in 2021 as a Managing Director and continued to build his career in healthcare investment banking, becoming a Partner in 2026. During his career as an investment banker, Robert has personally represented over 75 healthcare organizations across physician services, outpatient and ancillary services, dental services, behavioral health, and other healthcare verticals, representing more than $2 billion in aggregate transaction value.

Robert lives in Lexington, Massachusetts with his wife, two sons and two Vizslas. He is an avid college football fan (Go Blue!) and enjoys running, tennis and visiting the many New England beaches with his family.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he ran track & field and obtained his M.B.A. for the University of Tennessee.
