Thomas M. Cunningham

Thomas Cunningham is Director of Business Development at PGP, where he leads the firm’s growth strategy across business development, marketing, and industry relations.

Prior to joining PGP, Thomas led business development at Levin Associates, a premier healthcare M&A research and publication firm, and was Managing Director at Dark Horse Consulting, a go-to-market MedTech commercialization firm, where he led several PE and strategic exits alongside orthopedic surgeons.

After spending years studying the healthcare investment banking landscape, he joined PGP in 2023, drawn by the firm’s stellar reputation, healthcare services focus, and relentless commitment to sell-side advisory. The opportunity allowed him to continue supporting surgeon and healthcare entrepreneurs with whom he had built relationships over the previous 15+ years. Thomas also serves as Healthcare Co-Chair of ACG Chicago, the premier M&A deal-making community with a mission of driving middle-market growth.

Thomas lives in Elmhurst, IL with his family. During his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, coaching both in various sports, traveling throughout the U.S. and internationally, and playing golf.

Thomas graduated from Robert Morris University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, majoring in Management, where he also played collegiate baseball.
