Sali Asani

Sali Asani is a Director at PGP, where he advises healthcare companies and physician groups on private equity partnerships and strategic transactions. Sal works closely with business owners, management teams, and senior stakeholders to shape transaction strategy, evaluate strategic alternatives, and guide clients through complex decisions from initial preparation through closing. He oversees all aspects of transaction execution, including financial analysis, marketing materials, buyer outreach, due diligence, negotiations, and coordination among key stakeholders. As a senior member of the deal team, Sal serves as a trusted advisor to clients, helping lead transaction processes, manage key relationships, and drive successful outcomes.

Prior to joining PGP, Sal worked in the leveraged finance and business services sectors. He decided to join PGP because of the firm’s reputation for delivering exceptional, client-focused advisory services and its collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that empowers bankers to drive meaningful outcomes for clients. During his career as an investment banker, Sal has completed over 25 transactions across physician services, outpatient and ancillary services, behavioral health, and other healthcare verticals.

Sal is from Chicago, Illinois. During his downtime, he enjoys traveling with his wife and family, playing padel, and hanging out with his cat, Kulfi.

Sal graduated from DePaul University, majoring in Finance.
